Coach DJ Mocini’s Story:
In this episode, you’ll hear from DJ Mocini. Coach DJ is the new Director of Basketball Operations for Coach Greg Kampe at Oakland University. As you will hear today, Coach Kampe just hired a “High Level” Basketball Coach and Person! Coach Mocini is coming off a great eight-year run at Central Michigan University, as an Assistant Coach and Director of Basketball Operations, for Coach Keno Davis. Before CMU, DJ played at Albion College for legendary D3 Head Coach, Coach Mike Turner. After Albion, DJ was a Graduate Assistant for Brian Gregory at the University of Dayton. In addition, at the age of 23 years old, Coach DJ was hired by Coach Jeff Rekeweg at Northwood University. Coach DJ has such an incredible array of experience at various roles with the college basketball industry. And Coach DJ offers some incredible advice and real life experiences for coaches at each of these positions. If you are Graduate Assistant, Coach DJ has some great advice for you. If you are a Director of Operations, Coach DJ breaks down how he approaches this position. Finally, if you are an assistant, Coach DJ offers some simple tips for young coaches.
